Experience the Costa Brava

Forget the tick lists and tour buses, the crowded viewpoints and the restaurants with menus in six languages. The Costa Brava you’ve seen in photos is beautiful, but the one worth crossing an ocean for is a local secret. It’s a long lunch under the olive trees that turns into dinner. It’s picking wildflowers for the table, walking the old Camí de Ronda path from one beach cove to the next, or shaping clay in a local potter’s studio. We don’t hand you an itinerary. We plan a holiday around who you are and how you want to feel, and we open the doors that are usually closed to visitors. Come and live here for a while.

Before you arrive

A few questions,
answered.

When is a good time to visit?

Late spring and early autumn are lovely for walks, village exploring and a quieter pace. July and August bring the liveliest beach season. The best time depends on the experiences you have in mind.

How do I get to the Costa Brava?

Barcelona–El Prat is a practical starting point for many international visitors. Allow roughly one and a half to two hours by car to towns such as Begur or Calella de Palafrugell, depending on traffic.

Will I need a car?

A car gives you more freedom to explore smaller coves and inland villages. A stay centred on one coastal town may not need one; we can discuss this as we plan your itinerary.

How long should I stay?

A week gives you time to settle into the coast rather than rush through it. With ten days or more, you could add time in Barcelona or explore more of the Empordà.
